Next Day Delivery

Delivery Times:

We endeavor to dispatch your order the same working day as you place it. Should you place your order over the weekend or outside our working hours we will process it the following working day. Our cut off time for dispatching goods has a deadline of 4.00PM. We will do our best to dispatch your goods by then. Sometimes our Couriers and Royal mail can deviate from their normal pick up times this can mean that some orders may not be dispatched by 4.00pm. In the event of this happening we will of course refund the difference between the downgraded service. If the Order is important and you wish to receive the goods on a next day delivery and it is close to the cut off time please ring and check to avoid disappointment.

Order availability

We make every effort to ensure that our site has up-to-date information about product availability. If an item is not in stock at the time you place an order, we will send you an e-mail telling you how soon we will be able to ship the order. If you wish to cancel the order at this stage you may do so. We will take appropriate steps to reimburse any payment you have made in respect of the product. If the item is a 'special order' item then please be aware the order may not be able to be cancelled without prior confirmation.

Shipping Charges:

Shipping to Channel Islands and Scottish Highlands will incur additional charges (quotes available on request).Shipping to outside the UK are via Royal Mail Int. Prices vary according to size and weight of goods and destination. Please contact us with a list of products and your address for a delivery quotation.

Carriers:

High value goods will be shipped with our City-Link Courier service. If you have requested a Next Day delivery service then City-link will attempt to deliver the next working day between the hours of 9-5.30pm. Sometimes if it is a residential address this time may be extended to slightly later in the evening. Before ringing The Navigation company please check your Tracking number for more information on your delivery. City-link do not provide live tracking information and thus will not be able to tell you exactly where your parcel is or exactly what time it will arrive during the day. If you require the item by a particular time please request a timed delivery. Saturday delivery is from 8.00am to 12.00pm.

What happens if I am not in when they try to deliver?

If city-link try to deliver a parcel and there is no one available at the premises they will “card” the premises with the tracking details and time they tried to deliver. If this happens they will also take a description of the door in case there are any issues over the attempted delivery. Your goods will then be taken back to the depot and delivery will be attempted again the next working day. If delivery fails again then the goods will stay at the depot for 7 days and await your pick up or instruction. After two attempts at delivery, redelivery will be charged at the normal rate.

Items sent via Royal Mail will be sent in one of two ways. Next Day delivery will be via Special Delivery guaranteed by 1pm. If the delivery is 2-4 days then the item will be sent via Royal Mail recorded which will require a signature and arrive within the 4 day period.

Royal mail do provide tracking numbers for their deliveries but they are not live tracking. They will show the goods arriving at the branch but no more information will be available until the goods are signed for.

Should you wish to claim for a non-delivery or Late delivery you will need to do so within 24 hours of the original scheduled delivery time. This is because any non deliveries have to be reported to the couriers to claim. Claims should be made in writing to info@thenavigationcompany.com, claims submitted after the 24 hour period will not be accepted.
